What Order Did the Pirates of the Caribbean Come Out
Pirates of the Caribbean is a multi-million dollar Disney franchise that includes a drive of the same name at Disneyland Park, a series of movies, books, comics, as well as several video games. Pirates of the Caribbean Watch Order

In the time of writing, Disney has announced the sixth movie in the franchise is coming, but it will be a spin-off movie, probably without Captain Jack Sparrow (Disney banned Johnny Depp) and Margot Robbie should take the main. 1. Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales of the Code – Wedlocked (2011) – Short Movie
This is for super fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean. The short, Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales of the Code, was directed by James Ward Byrkit, and was only included as a special feature in the US 15-disc 3D Blu-ray/2D Blu-ray/DVD + Digital Copy box set that includes films 1–4; and in the similar UK five-disc set.
Wenches Scarlett (Lauren Maher) and Giselle (Vanessa Branch) fix each other up for their wedding, in which they would each marry their groom. Upon realizing that both their grooms were the same man—Jack Sparrow—the two wenches find themselves in an auction led by the Auctioneer.
The short film serves as a prequel to The Curse of the Black Pearl, explaining just why Jack Sparrow's boat, the Jolly Mon, was seen sinking at the beginning of the whole story, and explaining why wenches Scarlett and Giselle were so upset with him, and it also implies how Cotton lost his tongue. The plot took inspiration from the "Auction scene" from the original Disney park attraction.
Byrkit conceived the idea for the project while on sets Rick Heinrichs designed for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007). As the pirate cove sets from the feature films—where the short film takes place—were set to be demolished, the short project was prepped in a matter of days and shot over three days. Byrkit based the short film on the Pirate Code Book as it was a device that could tie into other stories later.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
The Black Pearl is a pirate ship spoken of by many Caribbean legends. Although many claim that it is a mere apparition created in sailors' heads stunned by rum, the black to the teeth-armed ship of the infamous Captain Barbossa one night attacks the palace of British Governor Swann and kidnaps his only daughter Elizabeth.
Although the girl is promised to another, the young blacksmith Will Turner decides to go in search of a phantom ship and save the beauty he loves with all his heart. He is helped by the unusual Captain Jack Sparrow, another of the main characters of old pirate stories, but also an irresistible adventurer who has a solution for every trouble…
3. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)
As they prepare for the wedding, former blacksmith and adventurer Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, daughter of Governor Weatherby Swann, are suddenly arrested on the orders of Lord Cutler Beckett and sentenced to death.
The condemnation has its goal: Beckett actually wants to get hold of Jack Sparrow's magic compass and therefore offers Will and Elizabeth a pardon from the death penalty if they manage to find Sparrow, take his compass and bring it to Beckett.
Will agrees and finds Jack and his crew trapped on a wild island where they have been captured by cannibals. Will offers Jack help and rescue in exchange for a compass. Jack agrees on the condition that Will help him find the key to the "dead man's chest." In that chest is the heart of the terrible Captain Dutchman, Davy Jones, whose crew consists of the souls of dead sailors. And among the crew of the haunted ship is Will's father, former pirate Bootstrap Bill Turner.
Captain Davy Jones is not only a powerful opponent but also has a terrible sea ally – a giant octopus called the "Kraken". Jack Turner, Will, Elizabeth and Jack's crew are on a deadly adventure…
4. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)
Lord Cutler Beckett of the East India Company gained control of the terrifying ghost ship, the Flying Dutchman, and the malevolent, vengeful captain of the ship, Davy Jones. The Dutchman now roams the seven seas, unstoppable, ruthlessly destroying pirate ships, under the command of Admiral Norrington.
Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and Captain Barbossa embark on a desperate venture to bring together the nine Pirate rulers who are their only hope of defeating Beckett, the Flying Dutchman and his armada. But one of the Pirate rulers is missing – Captain Jack Sparrow, the best or worst pirate ever, is now trapped in Davy Jones 'closet, the dimension where the souls of the dead on the end of the high seas are, thanks to an encounter with a monstrous Kraken.
As members of an increasingly loose alliance, the gang must first go to dangerous, exotic Singapore and face Chinese pirate captain Sao Feng, to get tickets and a ship that will take them all the way to the end of the world, to save Jack.
5. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)
Captain Jack Sparrow meets a woman from his past in London, so he is not sure if it is love or if she is just a ruthless deceiver who uses him to get information about the location of the Source of Youth. She soon persuades him to board the ship Revenge of Queen Anne, whose captain is the terrible Blackbeard, the cruelest pirate in history, so Jack soon finds himself in an unexpected adventure in which he will not know who to fear anymore: women from the past or Blackbeard.
6. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)
A group of ghost sailors led by Captain Salazar, an old enemy of Jack Sparrow, have escaped from the infamous Devil's Triangle, and are determined to kill pirates on all the world's seas. To prevent this, Jack Sparrow must find the legendary Poseidon's trident, a magical object that can give him absolute control over the sea.
Pirates of the Caribbean Games in Order
Pirates of the Caribbean – Originally called Sea Dogs II, the game went on sale in 2003 to coincide with the release of the first film. Although there are no links to the characters from the film, the game has a similar story.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow – the game went on sale in 2006 and the plot is set before the action of the first film and covers the events that made Captain Jack Sparrow a legend.

Do you need to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean in order?
You should watch the Pirates of the Caribbean in order of release because it is also a chronological order. The only exception is if you want to also watch a short movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales of the Code – Wedlocked, then you should start your list with it.
Is Pirates of the Caribbean 6 coming out?
Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is under development. There are currently two versions of Pirates of the Caribbean 6 in the works and both movies are reboots. They won't be continuing the fifth movie – Dead Men Tell No Tales. We still don't have confirmed who will be the movie lead or the release date.
